Michelle Yeoh Joyfully Announces New Family Addition: 'A Little Miracle'

Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh has a new role in life: She's a grandma!

The Everything Everywhere All At Once actress took to Instagram during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan. 2, to share that her family had added an adorable new addition just the day prior.

Her first post confused fans, who thought she may have welcomed the baby herself, as she shared just a simple snap of the newborn's foot alongside a rather vague caption. "A little miracle on the first day of 2024 ❤️✨ we are so truly blessed…" the 61-year-old wrote. "Can’t tell u how happy I am for this very very special bundle of joy ❤️✨."

"Grandkids? Or kids?" one top-liked Instagram comment read. "Eitherways congratulations ❤️❤️ a new arrival is always fun 😃."

"mother is mothering fr!! omg congratulations!!!" a second added, while a third questioned, "Wait, how???"

Even supermodel Naomi Campbell seemed to believe the Crazy Rich Asians star quietly welcomed another child, writing, "Congratulations Michelle & Jean on your beautiful bundle of joy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."

"pretty sure it’s her grandchild because she didn’t look pregnant this year and we would’ve seen it from her christmas pictures," someone else suggested.

Hours later, Yeoh followed up with a second upload to the picture-sharing platform, confirming that the "little miracle" is actually her grandchild.

"Thank you darling Nicolas and Darina for making us the happiest and proudest Grandparents!!" the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon alum gushed. "Welcome baby Maxime ❤️💖✨❤️💖✨."

Along with the cheery sentiment–and clarification–Yeoh shared two new photos of herself looking absolutely radiant and overjoyed with her husband, Jean Todt.

Cheers to the new year and the new (grand)baby!
