Common Bluestar is a low maintenance, long-lived, deer resistant US native. Delicate light blue flowers are held above attractive willow-like foliage in early summer. Deep red to yellow fall color is outstanding. Early blooms attract bees, hummingbirds, moths, and many other pollinators.

Tip: Cut the stems back by about 6" after flowering to prevent flopping.

Distinctions: Selected by the American Horticultural Society as one of the 75 Great Plants for American Gardens.
