Care | Thrives in organically rich, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils, but highly adaptable. Water deeply, regularly in first few growing seasons to establish an extensive root system. Fertilize before new growth begins in spring. Pruning is generally unnecessary but may be done in late winter to shape. Needs to be planted within 30 ft. of a male cultivar to set berries. One male shrub can pollinize 6 female shrubs. |
