Achilles Tang - Acanthurus achilles

This Achilles Tang - Acanthurus achilles is very striking and one of my favourite fish seen during the trip, had to spend lots of time to try to take better pictures of them as usually they are shy and difficult to get close to.

As this fish is quite striking, its also a popular fish in the fish hobby trade, and in US, they can fetch more than US$200 each.

    1. They are still listed as Least Concern in the IUCN list, probably the hobby industries are breeding them instead of constantly catching them. The good thing about the situation, it is a challenging fish to keep, so it's not for just anyone to keep in a aquarium at home. Posted 3 years ago
