Works well and not as expensive as Rotring's regular rapidiograph pens. I don't think there are replacement nibs with these, so if damaged you will have to buy a whole new pen. Cartridges are easy to refill and the ink level is easy to see. I prefer these over the regular rapidiographs, and have been using this type of pen for over 20 years.

My husband wanted a technical pen for pen and ink drawing, so I did my homework before purchase. He'd used dip pens, fountain pens and rapidographs in the past and found each came with their own kind of problems. He wanted the precision of a technical pen without the constant clogging of a rapidograph, in a pen that was refillable. The pen feels sturdy and fits well in the hand. Very happy with this purchase! He says it's exactly what he wanted.

I have had this for more than a year- i like its drawing abilities, but often ink it up with a convertor as a fountian pennyo write european style calligraphy.

Excellent choice when you need a "legitimate" pen! Using it for illustrating, highly recommended!
