Incorrect dimensionsSarahOh, I measured exactly where these cabinets could fit and was excited to get the larger size based on my shelving measurement. Get the item home put it together and try to put it on the shelf and it is way too tall. I look at the product description and measurements again and realize, it’s incorrectly listed in the picture but correctly listed somewhere else in the ad. I only saw the incorrect measurement so now I am stuck with two cabinets that won’t fit on my shelves. The product is possibly fine by itself, I was going to use it as a greenhouse now I’m not sure what I will do.
Love it!TommieI love these so much I bought 3! They are fairly easy to assemble and serve my purpose of adding humidity to my plants nicely. The most difficult part of assembly is removing the protective film

Well worth it!MaryOther reviews have described this terrarium as flimsy and poorly made. I do not find it so at all. I'm using it to grow plant cuttings so I can keep them all in one place, and not forget to water them. It's working beautifully for that. So much so, that I'll be getting another one to start seedlings in. Maybe two more ... the yellow color is so gorgeous!
Phenomenal mini greenhouseCorinneThe majority of the plants I use this on are alocasias, which quickly outgrow the width & height, unless a corm or starter plant. I would LOVE for there to be an option larger than the current largest (deeper and taller). I’d but 3 more!
This greenhouse took *minimal* weatherstripping & one 2 ft grow light. I am consistently receiving temps in the 70s & humidity in the 80s in my Akerbar that has leafy plants.
My 2nd Akerbar has mostly corms & just 2 or three other 1 inch plants. This one has temps in 70s & humidity in 60s. Both values can easily be increased by 10 by adding a bottom tray w/ moist spaghnum moss. I have a 3rd that I’m saving for use as a quarantine space.
I’m a bit of a perfectionist but I’ve gotten many compliments on these cabinets. I added door weatherstripping at the bottom on the long sides, & firm foam tape at the top of the frame between the lid. There is a notch on bottom of each side of the lid that is perfect to feed power cord for light.
Plastic film removal tip!LaurenI just assembled this today so I can speak to how it works just yet, but wanted to make a note on how to easily remove the plastic.
On the inside of the panel there are small tabs that you bend back so you can take the plastic panel out and remove the film. Then just put the panel back in and push the tabs back down. Super easy!
Beautiful GreenhouseSuzannaPerfect for starting seeds for the garden!
Simple assembly too!
Cute greenhouse ElaineI’ve been debating on whether to purchase one of these Akerbar greenhouses. Finally did it and it’s so adorable! My only issue with it is that it’s a little flimsy, but I don’t plan on moving it around. I may decide to buy the accessories from Modern Aqua to provide more room for plants.
cute, but flimsyMartait's cute, but I peeled off plastic to see that the acrylic side had a crack in it. I live six hours from Ikea and bought this while on a trip visiting my family, so I was really bummed. I'll use it as is now, because I can't return it... but really -- Ikea, package your items better.
Great indoor herb gardenPatriciaI bought 2 and some grow lights and have a great herb garden that is really working well. Not hard to assemble.
Removing plastic is a nightmareColleenIs this greenhouse cute? Yes
Is it an absolute nightmare to pull the covering off the glass pieces? Yes.
Be prepared to pull your hair out. 45 minutes in and I'm still picking the covering off the plastic. This can't be this freaking difficult.
Such a bad quality MaryamWhat a flimsy thing! The black metal pieces had been bent in the box and the plastic “glass” had scratches. I had already paid 10 dollars for shipping so I was gonna pay another 10 for return, horrible quality.
Cute greenhouse PatriciaPractical cute small green house
Tabletop greenhouseSuzanneOverall great product, will be great for starting seeds indoors and keeping my cats out of them! Some of the glass pieces arrived with a few cracks/chips in them, but does not affect the overall function of the product.

Lovely little greenhouse!LeslieI bought two of the yellow/gold to put my small plants in, (mainly to protect them from my cats!). They are so cute. I’m beyond pleased. They shipped with no issues. Easy to put together and they fit several of my smaller plants. I’ve added lights to the top and I’m thrilled with the result. I wish they made them in larger or taller sizes too.
Cracked "glass" and bent sidesChristinaPretty disappointed in this purchase. I was really looking forward to use it as a display bookshelf, but now do not think it's worth the hassle. I purchased this item for pick up in the store hoping that I wouldn't have an issue with the item having issues with delivery, but unfortunately that was not the case. When putting the sides together, I did notice that one of the guides was bent, but was able to bend it back into place without issue. What I didn't notice until I put together the entire greenhouse was that the front glass was damaged. it looked like a point as shattered. If it was in a less noticeable spot I probably would just deal but it's right in front and hard to miss. Now I will have to spend additional money to drive it back over across state lines to return. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing.
Cute and FunctionalMirandaI bought this to keep my cats from chewing on my plants. I think it will do the job nicely, and it looks very stylish! Pretty easy to put together, if I had a second person to help it wouldn't have taken any time at all. The most annoying part is peeling the protective film off the glass, since not all of the panes can come out easily it was kinda difficult to peel around the edges, ended up having to use a needle to get underneath the film.
