The oil lamp is one of the oldest inventions of mankind, evidence dating between 15,000 to 12,000 years BC.

This Holy Land Jewish lamp is an artistic replica characteristic of those from museums around the world, handmade with respect for the thousands of years of tradition and made of high quality stoneware clay, guaranteeing durability and functionality.

For use with olive oil or vegetable oil (Attention! Do not use with commercial lamp oil or any fuel other that vegetable oil), with a light that promises to provide a healthy and exotic atmosphere in any home.

Easy to clean and does not seep oil as other porous terracotta clay lamps might.

Made by Epalladio Ceramics since 1984 on the island of Crete.

Our ceramics are microwave and dishwasher safe. We have lab certifications available that indicate all our ceramics can be safely used with any kind of food or beverage. All our products are made by quality stoneware clay and are fired under high temperatures to ensure durability. So they are perfect fine for everyday use, but some caution is of course required due to their ceramic nature.

Due to the handmade nature of our ceramics, slight variations from the images shown should be expected. In glazing the green color may have hues of earthy and blue tones and in the beige color tones of light pink may appear. We believe these variations are what make our items unique and personal, and ultimately are the distinguishing factor between handmade and industrial made products. If you are looking for a specific look and finish please let us know.

Since we need to ensure that the ceramics you order arrive safely, lots of bubble wrap and packaging material must surround it. For this reason it is difficult to gift wrap our products. However, we are more than happy to add a written message from you attached to the present you bought. You can include this message on the note to seller section of your order.

Jugs without handles are notoriously difficult to find, often they are clumsy or bulbous. This one is a veritable find with its organic shape which cups so well in the hands. I know we will use this often. Beware: you too will fall in love with these ceramics so much that you will order more and more because they will enjoyed for a lifetime. Although these photos are very good, you really don't get a true sense of just how delightful the glaze is in real life. Wow was involuntarily uttered as the parcel was opened. What more do you need to know?
