งูกะปะ.
Calloselasma rhodostoma.
Also known as the Malayan Moccasin.
The Malayan Pit Viper is the snake responsible for the most venomous snake bites occuring in Thailand; of the more than 10,000 envenomations per year, the Malayan Pit Viper makes up 35% to 40% bites alone. This is due to many factors; it is hard to spot as it perfectly camouflages with the ground, is often found in human domiciles and plantages, prown to aggression and has some ridiculously enormous fangs). A bite may not cause death (though you can still die from a very unfortunate bite) but will guarantee an amputation if the bite is not handled.
