        Preocular: 1; Postocular: 2; Supralabials: 7 (3rd and 4th touches eye); Infralabials: 8-10; Anterior temporals: 1; Posterior temporals: 2; Dorsal scale row formula: 19:17/19:15/17. Ventrals: 177-208; Subcaudals: 40-69 (paired). Brown or red above with white or yellow coloured crossbars with black edges. An inverted white “V” shaped mark, present on head in contact with longitudinal stripe. Venter white with black spots on the edge of scales.
