Description

Urceola Rosea is an oleand vegetable species first described by William Jackson Hooker and Arnott,and became known as DJ Middleton.Urceola rosea is part of the genus Urceola and the family oleanderväxter.No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.Lianas to 20 m.Stem dark brown,lenticels absent;branches tawny gray,young ones brownish.Petiole 0.8-1.2 cm;leaf blade broadly elliptic,rarely subovate,3-7 X 1-4 cm,apex acute,glabrous,± lustrous adaxially,glaucous abaxially,lateral veins 4-6 pairs.Sepals ovate,ca.3 mm,obtuse.Corolla pink,tube ca.4 mm;lobes ± symmetrical,slightly longer than tube,acute.Disc ringlike,entire.Ovary pubescent.Follicles to 15 cm,terete,densely spotted.Seeds oblong,ca.1 cm,coma ca.3 cm.Fl.Apr-Dec,fr.Jun-Dec.2N = 20*.
