Antelope Jack Rabbit

Riverine Rabbit (Bunolagus monticularis) is assessed as Critically Endangered. The species is found only in the central Karoo region of South Africa and the current population is estimated to be fewer than 250 breeding pairs. With ongoing habitat loss and fragmentation, and direct threats from trapping, feral cats and dogs, and hunting pressure.
