A deciduous terrestrial orchid with 2-3 thin, upright green grass-like leaves to 15 cm tall.The flower spike develops from the centre of the leaf clump bearing up to six large, upright mauve or white flowers with erect petals and long lateral sepals.

Identifying Characteristics

Flower stem to 20 cm tall. May have six white or pale mauve flowers, some with purple streaks. Dorsal sepal to 17 mm and lateral sepals to 60 mm. Flowers October-November.
