January is wearing me down, so I decided it was time to come up with something fun to do in addition to the #FedByBooks reading challenge. I did two color by number reading challenges last year that I really enjoyed, so I thought I’d invite you all the join me in February.
I printed out this winter town color by number page from supercoloring.com. It has nine different colors, which works perfectly for my nine reading priorities, but you can choose any image you want. The intention is to find a coloring page that you like, read as many books as there are colors in the legend, and color in a different number when you complete the book. You pick whichever books you want to read, and if you don’t complete it by the end of the month, you can continue on until you finish it. There’s no pressure here, it’s just a fun way to brighten up a month that can be a little dull and dreary.
I’ll be using the #februreads hashtag, so feel free to join me, and tag me so I can see what you’re reading and help cheer you on.
I also created this image on Canva to use which you’re welcome to borrow if you are using this coloring page.
Love this! I’m going to brainstorm ways to use this in my library. I think the kids would enjoy it!

I’m so glad! I think you could easily adapt it for Black History month by choosing picture books, nonfiction, graphic novels, chapter books, or MG books by Black authors.
