This gets the job done. – I purchased this stand to help me bore sight rifles. You need a good support to hold a rifle when you are bore sighting. This tool helps me do just that. Very adjustable so you can get the desired results. I use a laser bore sighter in combination with this tool. The idea is to rough it in then test on the range. This setup works for me. On the range I use a different setup. I this only for bore sighting with a laser bore sighter and it gets the job done.

With a little know how…. – Arrived in oversized box on time. I bought this for sighting in my scopes. Very simple design. Easy to use. I ended up tightening all bolts as they allowed movement, especially for the length. The stock would want to roll one way or the other. It was a sloppy fit. I also changed out the front upright adjustment so I could get the front and rear to have proper height when rifle is placed. I’m going to also change the ‘wheel’ bolts out for a clamp design, so no movement there either. Then I’m adding a Velcro strap at the rear to lock down the stock, no movement. After tightening bolts, there was an immediate improvement in usage. I placed a small sandbag over the bar, right by front upright. Is it a lead sled??? No. But this is also very minimal investment too. Glad I didn’t waste money on something else, this was definitely worth the time and effort to improve a simple design.
